Kempinski Seychelles Resort Baie Lazare Funds Sight-Saving Surgery

In response to a public plea for financial assistance by a UAE-based Seychellois musician, Kempinski Seychelles Resort Baie Lazare funded a surgery anticipated to save his sight.

Recording since he was 14 and currently residing in Dubai where he works as a performer and a guitar teacher, Emmanuel Marie had just 30 percent vision in one eye following a life-long struggle with diabetes and risked going completely blind if he did not undergo the required operation.

The support was provided through the Resort’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.

Masami Egami, general manager, Kempinski Seychelles Resort Baie Lazare, elaborated, “Our hope is that, with this surgery, Emmanuel will have the opportunity to continue to share his passion with future generations for many more years to come.”
