Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta Supports Claire Chambless Exhibition

Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta and Bill Lowe Gallery are presenting EXcess, a contemporary art exhibition featuring Atlanta artist Claire Chambless.

The event’s organisation is hailed as the first collaboration of its kind in the city, in which a hotel is sponsoring an Atlanta artist to create temporary exhibition and site-specific installation.

The exhibition has from June 07 spanned from the hotel entrance through the Lobby and culminated in the Taipan Lounge with an immersive site-specific installation.

The artworks prominently incorporate a symbolic fan motif which echoes Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s iconic brand symbol, the 11 blade fan.

“When Bill Lowe Gallery first introduced us to Claire’s work, we were immediately struck by the fan imagery,” commented, David Collas, general manager, Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta.
