NYCB Keeps Ballet Lovers on Their Toes

New York City Ballet (NYCB) will open this years spring season with the all Balanchine programme on April 18, highlighted by the Here/Now festival which will be inaugurated April 25.

 With the first week of performances consisting of ballets by its co-founding choreographers George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins, the season will be set to be in full swing.


The Here/Now festival will commence with nine performances of works created for NYCB by choreographers Justin Peck, Alexei Ratmansky, and Christopher Wheeldon, with each choreographer receiving three nights of programming devoted exclusively to their works. 


The event features 43 ballets by 22 different choreographers, including the above mentioned world premier ballet programmes.
