Alaska Airlines Elevates First Class Menu Offering

Alaska Airlines recently unveiled a new first class menu, inspired by the US West Coast food scene. An official announcement stated that the new menu features fresh, local ingredients paired with seasonal favourites and new product extras, introduced throughout this year.

The savoury Beecher's Flagship and Mushroom Fritatta, for example, is filled with Beecher's Flagship cheddar, sautéed wild mushrooms, and fresh dill, served with crispy smashed baby Yukon Gold potatoes and oven-roasted tomatoes. There are also strawberry-lime smoothie shots, avocado bacon omelettes, and flank steak salads with green papaya, mint and lime wedges. Vegetarian options are also available.

"We're always looking to create warm, welcoming experiences for our guests,” remarked Andrew Harrison, executive vice president, Alaska Airlines. “We're building a premium experience that offers a signature West Coast vibe, great value, and genuine caring service."

Alaska Airlines also announced that refreshed cabin interiors will debut this autumn with nearly half the mainline fleet retrofitted by the end of 2019. It also expects to unveil upgrades at US airports John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York this April and at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport at some point during 2019.
