New Executive Chef at Banyan Tree Bangkok

Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts has announced Heshan Peiris as the new executive chef for Banyan Tree Bangkok’s 11 restaurants.

Peiris’ culinary career started when he was an apprentice at Melbourne Racing Club whilst pursuing a culinary arts degree at William Angliss Institute.

Over the last 16 years he has lived and worked internationally with Hilton hotels in Melbourne, Sydney and Seychelles. Prior to joining Banyan Tree Bangkok, Chef Peiris worked at Vietnam’s Laguna Lang Co.  Peiris believes in bringing traditional food to new dimensions, modernising the presentation, while valuing original ingredients and keeping the essence of each dish.

“I'm excited to be working with the talented team of Banyan Tree Bangkok, [...] to create a fresh new and exciting dining experience for our guests,” said Peiris.
