Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta to Host Michelin-starred Italian Chef

Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta is due to host Michelin-starred chef Valentino Palmisano at its Alto Restaurant and Bar this April. Palmisano will be temporarily swapping Vespasia Restaurant at Palazzo Seneca, Norcia, Italy for Indonesia.

He will be offering an eight-course degustation menu, where Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta guests and other diners can experience samples of the chef’s signature dishes. The event is scheduled to take place from April 19 – 21.

Having become one of the best-known interpreters of Italian cuisine across Asia, Palmisano was once listed among the top 10 best Italian chefs abroad by Arbiter, an Italian men’s fashion magazine. Palmisano, more recently, resettled back to his native Italy, where he received his Michelin star at Vespasia Restaurant.

Trained at the same school where renowned chefs such as; Alfonso Laccarino, Bruno Barbieri, Pino Lavarra and Oliver Glowig, learnt their trade, Palmisano also worked with fellow chefs Riccardo La Perna, Massimo Bottura, Domenico Lavarone and Gaetano Trovato, to devise the Dining with Valentino programme of gourmet events.

His current permanent venue, Vespasia Restaurant, is located at Relais & Châteaux Palazzo Seneca, a palace dating back to the 1500s.
