New SWISS First Class Lounge Opens at Zürich Airport

The new SWISS First Lounge A at Zürich Airport officially opened its doors on March 05.

The 650 m2 lounge features check-in facilities, its own security checkpoint, an à la carte restaurant and a barista bar serving a wide range of Swiss grappas (wines) and further fruit brandies.

The new lounge, which is accessible via an escalator from the Terminal A departure concourse, enables guests to check-in simply and conveniently at the welcome desk, drop-off their registered baggage and then pass through a dedicated security checkpoint. Travellers departing during the winter period for warmer climes can also deposit their coat free of charge at a lockable wardrobe facility.

Further facilities include a relaxation room with two loungers, and a smokers’ lounge with its own outside section and a choice of fine whiskies.

In Zürich, SWISS is also expected to be introducing an exclusive new chauffeur service this summer who will collect the customer from the aircraft door and take them directly to the relevant Terminal A or B passport or security control area.
