Held between March 05 – 08, the event included a competition to award top culinary skills, with Corinthia Palace Hotel chefs walking away with a total of 13 medals, including two gold, three silver and eight bronze medals.
Under Stefan Hogan, executive chef, Corinthia Palace Hotel, Malta, members of the brigade won prizes across range of categories, including gold medals for Table Centre Piece (Mark McBride) and Amuse Bouche (Jonathan Zammit).
The 13 medals tally at this year’s Hotelympia improves on the eight medals the hotel secured at the event’s 2016 edition. The results also follow the chefs’ recent success on their home turf, when they secured eight awards at the Malta Kulinarja Cooking and Arts Championships held earlier this year. Chefs competed across a vast range of categories and scored four silver medals and four bronze medals.
