Bab Al Shams Desert Resort Welcomes New Executive Chef

Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa has announced Clive Micallef as its new executive chef, bringing almost two decades’ international hospitality and restaurant experience to the role.

Previously, Micallef worked at well-known venues, including; Grosvenor House Park Lane (London, UK), Westin Hotels & Resorts, Malta and Intercontinental Malta. His most recent role was as complex executive sous chef at The Westin & Le Meridian Mina Seyahi Complex, Dubai, UAE. In his new role, Micallef will be overseeing the culinary operations for the resort’s banquets, in-room dining services and outside catering, as well as eight exclusive dining venues such as; the award-winning outdoor restaurant Al Hadheerah, Indian restaurant Masala, Italian outlet Le Dune, all-dining restaurant Al Forsan, Al Sarab’ Rooftop Lounge, Ya Hala Lobby Lounge, and Pool Bar.
